A car booking can be made in two ways:

• Via the booking engine located on the home page of the site.

Within a few minutes you can complete the process of sending your request for the car you wish to rent.
You can send your request for a rental car in the form of an online booking form. Make sure that you receive an email accepting your request with the booking form within 48 hours.

• Either by phone. Every day from 08:30 to 20:00 you can call our office +30.22420.20480 and contact the company staff to assist you.

All areas and hotels within the boundaries of Kos town.

Prices and car categories can be obtained through the booking engine or by contacting the reservation department.

For car rental, it is not required.
Required only for ATV and BUGGIE.

At our offices with free transfer from and to your hotel.

Upon receipt of the car you can check it in the presence of the staff for any existing material damage and then sign the relevant form.

The car is returned to the level where you received it and it is indicated on the car’s contract.

During the booking you pay 20% of the rental fee in advance. The payment of the rental by cash, credit and debit cards Visa and Mastercard upon delivery of the car.

To rent a car you must be at least 21 years of age and have held a driving licence for at least 1 year. Also rental is not accepted for persons over 80 years of age.

a. For a car with a category B driver’s license and age 21 years or older.

b. For ATV BAGGY driving license category B and age 23 years and above.

c. For SCOOTER up to 50cc driver’s license category AM-A1-A and age 18 years and older.

d. For SCOOTER up to 125cc driver’s license category A1-A and age 18 years and older.

e. For SCOOTER over 125cc a Class A driver’s license and age 18 years or older.

f. For E-SCOOTERs, a driver’s license is not required and age16 years or older.

With the rental car of Safewheels Rental you can travel as many kilometres as you wish, without any extra charge.

Mileage limitation is only for ATV and BUGGIE with a limit of 100 km. Each additional km is charged at a minimum cost.

Under no circumstances can a company vehicle leave the island of Kos.

A driving licence is acceptable for driving the car if it comes from a member state of the European Union and is written in Latin characters, as well as from countries allowed by Greek legislation such as America, Australia, Canada, Turkey, Israel etc. Otherwise the driver must hold an International Driving Licence. At the start of the hire the driver and the second driver must carry their driving licence and passport or ID card. If the driver does not carry the driving licence, passport or identity card or if any of these are invalid or not original, the hire cannot take place. The driving licence, passport or identity card must be original. Photocopies are not accepted.

A Safewheels Rental car can be driven by a maximum of two drivers. Both drivers must be present during the rental transaction. There is no charge for the second driver.

A reservation can be cancelled

• either by sending an email
• or via the page if you know your reservation number.

A change to a reservation can be made by telephone and involves a recalculation of the price, according to the availability of vehicles, at the prices in force at that time. In case of cancellation of a reservation on the part of the client, the deposit is not refundable. In case of cancellation of the booking by the company itself, the deposit is refunded.

In case of returning the car earlier than the date of the reservation there will be no refund.

• The mixed insurance Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) where for categories A, B and C the driver has a participation of 800€ in case of damage caused by his/her fault and 1200€ for category D.
• Super mixed Super CDW (SCDW) where with a surcharge of 10€ per day for categories A, B and C the driver has a participation of 400€ in case of damage caused by his fault and 600€ for category D.
• The Full Damage Waiver (FDW) Zero Excess available which is available during the process of delivering the car to our office.

Note: Tyres and undercarriage are not covered by any insurance in case of damage or deterioration of these.

For ATV and BAGGY all rental prices include simple liability insurance and no additional insurance is available. The lessee is responsible for any damage caused to the leased vehicle through their own fault. The lessee shall pay the amount proportionate to the damage to the vehicle.

Third party insurance is included in the price.

In case of damage/accident due to your fault, the amount of your liability is equal to the damage you caused.
Additional options:

CDW. At 5 €/day in case of damage/accident due to your fault, the amount of your liability is 300€ for scooters up to 50cc and 400€ from 125cc and above. Excluding wheels.

FDW. At 10 €/day (in case of damage/accident due to your fault, the amount of your liability is 0 €. Excluding wheels.
Special conditions apply (driver’s age – vehicle type) which is available during the delivery process of the Vehicle in our office

ATTENTION: None of the above Insurance Coverage is applicable:
– For anything that occurs and the driver is found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
– For damage caused by driving on unpaved roads.
– For damage caused to the underside of the vehicle to the tyres and rims.
– For accidents caused by a driver not declared in the rental agreement.
– For accidents for which the lessee has not informed the Safewheels Rental office and filed/submitted a relevant accident declaration, as defined by Greek Law, regardless of his/her fault.

No. Driving off the paved road is strictly prohibited.

In case the car has a mechanical failure, inform the company’s staff about the problem you are experiencing. If the problem is such that it makes it impossible to drive the car, then you call us to have the Safewheels Rental staff pick up the car and replace your vehicle in your area. All cars come with 24 hour roadside assistance from our security.

In that case you are obliged to call the traffic police and the traffic police to record the incident, as well as our company.

In this case you can call us to replace your vehicle directly in your area.

The rental can be extended if I inform the company’s staff immediately and I have their consent to keep the car for an additional period of time. Otherwise I will have to return the car to the company’s offices as stated in the existing lease agreement.

The car is returned to the company’s office by the time stated in the rental contract. The staff will check the vehicle for possible damage and fuel level.

Additional charges are incurred for:
– use of a second driver, FREE
– child seats, 5€/day and 2€/day for the second driver
– Delivery of the car at the airport 25€.

Fines and any other consequences are entirely and exclusively borne by the tenant.

For the safety of your children you should use child seats. The charge is 5€/day and 2€/day for the second child seat.
